The health benefits of spas

Buying a hot tub is a common dream that we all share. A good hot tub serves many purposes to give you a nice feeling. Not only do you relax but also you can regain your tired muscles and increase your blood circulation level to get the best emotions. This personally works for me. If I take my blood pressure before I go in the hot tub it is generally a little high. This is normal for me. I go in the hot tub for 40 minutes on a temperature of 38 to 38.5 re take my blood pressure and get a lower than normal reading. Generally I am 140/85 but after a 40 minute session I can get as low as 120/69.
Sleeping
The warm water causes your body to reduce internal temperatures allowing you to drift into a deeper sleep.
Hot tubs are a natural sleeping remedy so there is no need to resort to over-the-counter drugs.
After Sport Relaxation
Relaxes body muscles after exercise. Recovering from playing football at my age used to take days but if I have a 40 minutes session in my tub after playing football and before going to bed my recovery is 50% quicker. The next day is far more manageable.
Arthritis pains come and go. I find by having the jets hitting the points that are troublesome really does help ease the pain. Quite often the neck jets on full power help me relax as this is my arthritis problem area.
Other Benefits
Accelerates the release of endorphins (the body’s natural pain killer)
Improves blood flow and circulation. Hence brings your blood pressure down
Reduces pain and tiredness. Hot tubs are refreshing when you get in them in the evening before bedtime. However, after your session you can be assured of a good nights sleep
The water reduces body weight by approximate 90% taking the strain off joint and muscles. This is great for us old folk who can’t get to the swimming baths who just need to relax with good company and makes those aging aches feel as though they are not there.
The heat from the water warms up joints to keep them moving.
Reduces swelling by making Collagen Tissue more stretchable, reducing aches and pains.
A raised body temperature causes vessels to dilate, resulting in better circulation.
The Water provides the right amount of resistance with out giving too much pain to arthritic joints and weak muscles.
What better way to pass the evening than in the hot tub and in the comfort of your own garden. Some people have them in log cabins within the garden to give it that alpine feel. You also get that added privacy.
Hot tubs offer a romantic way to unwind with your loved ones. It could be just you and your partner or why not have the kids in as well where every body can talk about the day they have had.
